I produce aerial drone images of boats under way, regattas and nautical events, and of the Mallorca coast, for brokers and shipyards, charter companies, clubs, organisers and media. For a boat on the water I deliver aerial video and photos with tracking and orbit shots, for the listing, the website and social media. At a regatta the coverage is coordinated with the organisers and the safety team of the event. During planning we decide where to take off from, on land or from a support boat, the time of light and the course with the skipper. At sea the wind limit is reached sooner than on land: we choose the day and time with the forecast in hand and, if it is not safe, we reschedule at no cost, charging only expenses already incurred. Parts of the Bay of Palma and of the harbours fall within restricted zones because of the airport and the heliport; I check it against the exact location before we fix a date.

How I work
1. Plan
Where to take off from, on land or from a support boat depending on the case, the time of light and the course agreed with the skipper.
2. On the day
Coordination with the skipper or the organisers, wind forecast in hand, and no flight if it is not safe.
3. Delivery
Raw or edited footage, as agreed.
Frequently asked questions
Can you fly from the boat itself?
It depends on the boat and the operation; we assess it during planning. Often the best option is a support boat or a spot on land.
What about the wind?
At sea the safety limit is reached sooner than on land. We choose the day and time with the forecast in hand and, if it is not safe, we reschedule at no cost, charging only expenses already incurred.
Can you fly inside a harbour or in the Bay of Palma?
